Editorial Review for Red Square Euro Bistro – by Wendy Wall
In Short
The decor includes deep-red walls, dark hardwoods, whimsical artwork and white tablecloths. Icicle-style glass lamps dangle above tables, and a fireplace adds to the cozy feel. A contemporary vodka bar attracts a young after-work crowd, while in the main dining rooms appeal to an older set. Russian chef Maxim Ionikh skillfully presents European cuisine, including beef stroganoff and Kuritsa, a chicken breast rubbed with tarragon-lemon butter, roasted garlic and thyme jus.

Insider Tips
Where to SitWhen the weather is nice, opt for the private patio. It's tucked back in Writer Square with a view of passers-by, instead of drivers-by.
The ExtrasVodkas from around the world abound here, with Russian brands dominating the list. Infusions may be sweet or peppery, but most guests prefer to drink it straight up.

My boyfriend and I love this place. We have been there three years in a row for Valentine's Day. The menu is a bit small, but we haven't had a bad dish yet. The steak stroganoff sounds like a weird idea, but trust me- it is fantastic. In addition, the service is always good. On a side note, I have found coupons for this place (pay $50 for a $100 coupon) so search the internet to find them as they are worth it!
Pros: great food
Cons: small menu

I chose this place because it looked interesting, but the service was so bad I didn't stick around One thing that really bugged me about it was I had to ask for more vodka and the bartender acted like he was doing me a favor by serving me. When I got up to use the restroom I came back to my seat at the bar and the bartender had piled up dirty glasses and dishes in front of my stool and made no effort to move these as I sat back down, so I drank my vodka quickly and left. I headed over to 1515 on Market and was treated like a king there. Too bad I really like the horseradish infused vodka but I doubt I'll go back, the service was so bad I didn't bother to try the food. After reading all the bad reviews here it doesn't sound like I missed anything.
